Community Outreach Oil Painting Class

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Students will learn or review basic painting skills and produce original work.
Ron is an outstanding art teacher whose students have won awards and sold their work. Let him help you achieve professional status. Ron is California Credentialed to teach at the community college level. VISIT RON’S ARTIST PAGE

  • Classes are small for individual attention.
  • Each session is 2.5 hours long with break and refreshments
  • One to two paintings will be completed in four weeks.
  • Students will paint their own original paintings from photos and life experiences.
  • Explore techniques such as grid and projection for more accurate painting of subjects.
  • Ron will share with you the secrets of being a good painter.
  • Ron’s eagle eye will gently keep you on task and provide advice and encouragement.
  • Our goal is for you to have fun while experiencing artistic achievement

Capturing the Beauty:  Our National Parks

Fee:  $189 Arboretum Members; $198 Guests

Class description:

Ron is presenting a 12-week oil painting class on National Parks at the Arboretum in Arcadia starting Saturday, September 9 from 12-2:30pm.  Estimated value of class is $1,400!  Class includes all professional oils, canvases, and brushes.  Class is limited to 10 or less students.  If interested, call the LA County Arboretum at 626-821-4623 to enroll.  Recommended:  completion of at least one art class in the past.  Enjoy air conditioning, snacks, handouts, reserved parking, and a photo library.
